Who Nakheel Properties is, in 30 seconds.
Nakheel Properties is the developer behind some of the most structurally significant land reclamation projects in Dubai's history. The company, which has been operating since 2000, created Palm Jumeirah -- the artificial island that became one of the most recognised residential addresses in the UAE -- as well as the broader Dubai Islands archipelago and Palm Jebel Ali. These are not standard developments: Nakheel effectively invented the geography on which they sit. The company is now a subsidiary of Dubai Holding following a government restructuring, and continues to develop within these landmark locations.
In terms of current active projects, Nakheel's pipeline in our data is more focused than that of volume developers like Emaar or DAMAC. On Palm Jumeirah, projects include The Palm Tower (handover 2021), Como Residences (handover 2027), and Marina Residences and Townhouses delivered as far back as 2009.
